A conference Vision Zero for Poland’s Avenues - Improving Traffic Safety in Tree-lined Roads was held on December 3-4th in Ożarów near Warsaw. Speakers and participants represented road services, local authorities, police, road construction companies and environmental organizations. They concluded that roads that are safer and still green and beautiful are possible. Joint efforts are necessary to reduce number of fatalities, while preserving avenues - the natural and cultural heritage.
